Local Farming for Our Future

Would you like to get back to the land?  Would you like to learn how to grow something edible and delicious and local?  The UMD farm is a great place to start!

Formerly known as the Northeast Agricultural Experimental Station, UMD’s Field and Research Studies Center hosts the Sustainable Agriculture Project field site on a 15-acre parcel that includes a 5-acre heritage apple orchard located at 4907 Jean Duluth Road.

The 15-acres are dedicated to research, study, and student internship opportunities.  There’s never a lack of things to learn on a farm!
